About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. You will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and supporting the successful delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies
• Manage all aspects of project cost control and financial reporting
• Evaluate tender submissions and assist in contractor selection
• Prepare and administer contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT)
• Monitor project progress, variations, and cost changes
• Produce interim valuations, cost reports, and final accounts
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role (X+ years depending on level)
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC/JCT)
• Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost management tools
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence (if site visits required)

Desirable

MRICS or working towards professional accreditation
